1. 실험실 소개
반추영양생리학 실험실은 반추동물이 생명현상을 유지하고 생산 활동을 하기 위한 생리작용, 즉 영양소의 섭취, 소화, 흡수 및 대사 작용의 전반과 이러한 요인들이 가축의 생산성에 미치는 영향을 다룬다. 반추가축의 영양소 요구량 평가 및 설정, 사료원료의 가치 평가, 사양계획 수립 및 실행, 사료배합비 작성 등을 연구하고 이를 통해 반추가축의 사양표준과 부산물의 사료로서의 이용과 같은 사양기술을 개발한다.
2. 주요 연구 목표
- 기후 변화에 따른 한우의 고온 스트레스 경감 및 사양프로그램 개발
- 사료자원이 부족한 국내 현실을 고려하여 각종 부산물의 사료가치 평가 및 사료화를 통한 반추가축의 생산 비용 절감
- 동물복지의 평가 및 동물복지 인증제도의 도입을 위한 가이드라인 설정
- 반추가축의 동물복지를 위한 연구결과를 통해 지속가능한 축산업 추구 및 정부에서 실시해야 할 정책 제안
